Company Background:
Affordable gifts online evolved about 8 years ago when my kids, Andrea & Brett and my husband Eddie and Myself (Jackie) were discussing them going to college and the cost involved to put them through college. We talked about ways to save money, etc. and the kids said, "Why don't we sell things like the gift stores we had seen in Saugatuck, MI." Well, that idea developed into a web store to raise college funds.
Our Mission:
We wanted to take the business to another level and create an outlet for the children's creativity as well as a learning experience on the day to day business activities. We wanted to teach them and other children as well the importance of healthy organic eating. We have since built raised garden beds to grow our own organic vegetables. We are growing tomato, cucumber, green and yellow pepper, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans, lettuce and strawberries. With no chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and the vegetables taste wonderful and growing better than any garden we have ever had growing up.
